Suzuki has teamed up with the revolutionary bike campaign ‘Get On’, designed to change the perception and more importantly attract new riders to motorcycling.
Supported by the strapline ‘Life’s Better on Two Wheels’ and centred around the innovative website www.geton.co.uk, the campaign’s target is to get 100,000 new people to try a free taster session on two-wheels for the first time, while also enticing past riders back and existing bikers to ride more.
Anyone over the age of 16 can register for a free ride by visiting www.geton.co.uk which is also a one-stop information hub for everything you need to know on how to get riding.
Launching the campaign, singing sensation Simon Webbe, said, “I’ve always been a big biking fan and am really excited by the fact that anyone can now have a go on motorcycles and scooters for free.
“I think many people have considered riding bikes but weren’t sure where to go or what to do. Now they just simply log-on to the Get On website, find their nearest Get On training centre, and try biking for free – it’s genius!”
The three year campaign has a host of celebrities lined-up to spread the message that ‘Life’s better on two wheels’ and this summer saw former Ashes hero Darren Gough finally take up riding as a result of Get On.
Having swapped his whites for leathers Gough said, “I’ve always been really keen on bikes but never had the opportunity to ride until now. I wasn’t really sure how to go about riding but then heard of the Get On campaign which makes it all so simple.
“A few of the England lads like Freddie Flintoff are into their bikes and ever since my playing day’s I’ve been desperate to get my licence. I’ve done my CBT and the next step is my theory. Hopefully by next autumn I’ll have the full licence and be a full fledged biker.”
